Nomad Music Academy offers a flexible, one-time, 30-minute introductory lesson every Friday. This session is the perfect opportunity to meet Mark, try out your instrument of choice, and receive expert professional guidance.

During this consultation, Mark will answer your questions, assess the student's dexterity and musical interest, and give you a firsthand look at our teaching style—helping you discover the joy of playing music right from day one. 4-Week Workshop

Following your initial consultation, you can enroll in an exclusive 4-week introductory workshop for piano, guitar, or drums.

In this workshop, students will master four complete songs using an integrated learning suite created entirely by Mark, including custom audio jam tracks, instructional videos, and a dedicated songbook. We will also cover fundamental instrument mechanics.

Please note: Completing all workshop assignments is a prerequisite for long-term enrollment at the Academy.

Transitioning to Long-Term Enrollment

The Academy hosts five formal enrollment periods throughout the year:

  • April

  • June

  • September

  • November

Upon successful completion of the workshop, Mark will present a group class proposal starting at one of these enrollment months.

Our Class Structure & Scheduling

  • Small Group Dynamic: Classes feature 2–3 students of similar ages and skill levels to foster an encouraging, collaborative environment.

  • Weekly Hours: 40 minute sessions run Monday through Thursday between 3:40 PM and 8:20 PM.

  • Commitment & Availability: Because our roster is highly selective and availability is limited, students must be able to commit to a consistent time slot. While we review schedule requests at each enrollment milestone, specific times cannot be guaranteed. Openings are filled on a strict first-come, first-served basis.

  • Extended Learning on YouTube: Beyond the studio, Mark maintains a thriving YouTube channel packed with interactive sheet music, music production tutorials, and educational content that students can access anytime to accelerate their progress.

  • Learn any song you want: Today’s tools make it easy to track down most music for study. Mark is always excited to learn one of your favorite songs with you. The more music you listen to, the more we can play!

  • Maintain a Playlist: Mark has designed a simple, effective and interactive playlist that you will maintain. This will be essential as we prepare for your end of book testing for each new grade.
